How are you handling the transition from AdSense to AdX, and is it worth it for mid-sized blogs?

After reaching consistent traffic, I’m considering the move from AdSense to Google AdX for potentially higher rates. For those who’ve made this transition, what traffic levels made it worthwhile, and what percentage increase in revenue did you experience? Did you work with a specific MCM partner that you’d recommend for the application process?
